ABC news... coming to you live, from the "hood"

The neighborhood is crawling with reporters who want to ask african-americans on the south side of Chicago how they feel about the Obama nomination. They are conspicuously passing up the excited white UofC students most of whom have to settle for walking scruffily by in the background of an interview.

I think the general view I've overheard can be summed up by one woman who scared the crap out of me as I walked to therapy:

HAAAAALLLLLLLELUJAHHHHHH! HE IS VICTORIOUS! PRAISE OBAMA!

She screamed this right behind me, causing me to jump about three feet in the air. I assumed she was just another vocally crazy religious fanatic until she got to the end. Then I knew I needed to check the newspaper (which I did while waiting in line for my yuppie coffee drink).
